A Yolo County judge ordered the release of a defendant at an arraignment after finding that the evidence fell short of the legal standard required to justify continued detention, despite objections from the prosecution.
The accused was denied release on supervised own recognizance after being charged with making a criminal threat, resisting an executive officer, possession of ammunition, and resisting a peace officer, despite the defense arguing that the accused had attempted to surrender and was not carrying a real firearm.
