What Is a woman?

The interrogation of ‘what constitutes a woman’ serves as a definitional instrument to exclude trans women from the category of womanhood. This framework, characterized by systemic violence, disproportionately impacts women of color, economically disadvantaged women, and immigrant women, thereby enabling their control and subjugation.

Women Have Never Had Their Own Name

The system of patriarchy has historically erased women’s identities by taking their names, property, inheritance, and legal standing, and the only way to break free from this system is to create a new name that is not inherited from a man.
