Davis Greenbelt Survey

Residents Asked to Assess Greenbelt Priorities

Aspen Greenbelt

The City of Davis is in the process of updating its Parks and Facilities Master Plan. As part of the plan update, the City conducted a survey regarding recreational facilities in Davis. The survey found that 78 percent of residents said Walking/Hiking trails were very important and 68 percent said Greenbelts were very important. Furthermore, the majority of residents said that expanding the greenbelt system was very important. The community’s response has led to more extensive research regarding greenbelts in Davis.

Greenbelts act as an amenity that serves a diverse set of users, such as walkers, roller skaters, runners, bicyclists and many others who want to enjoy the outdoors. Greenbelts also act as transportation infrastructure, open space, stormwater drainage areas, and recreational facilities. As Davis residents’ needs change, Davis’s greenbelt system must adapt.

We Need Your Input!

The City is asking for your help to get a better picture of
what the community wants in their greenbelts.
