Can you become a monthly subscriber today?

Vanguard_-_VIt’s been the best of times and the worst of times this year.  As most of our regulars know, we have had two prolonged outages on the site one in December and one in March.
The good news is that the Vanguard has emerged a leading source in the community for news and community dialogue.

We have greatly expanded our readership over the last six months, but with that comes added bills and obligations.

Within the next few months we will be putting together a financial plan to make the site and organization economically viable.

Part of that model relies on donations from our readers.  Over the last six months, we have reached out to our readers in times of crisis to raise money to pay for a new website, upgrades, server maintenance and repairs.

Now what we need is a more stable revenue source.  That doesn’t have to be burdensome for our readers.  We have had readers over the last month step up with $10, $15, $20 and sometimes more in recurring monthly donations.

We are asking you today to ad your name to that growing list.  We are extremely grateful to the generosity of many of our readers and look forward to the day when financial and technical worries are a thing of the past.

If you believe what we are doing is worthwhile and a value to our community, please make your pledge today.  For less than the cost of a monthly newspaper subscription, you can keep the Vanguard growing.

There are two ways to do that.

If you can go to PayPal.com and give to account: info@davisvanguard.org at a level of at least $10 a month, for less than the cost of a monthly newspaper subscription, you can help the Vanguard stay on the internet.

You can also go here and hit the “recurring contribution” bottom at the bottom right of that page.

Thanks for your support and thanks to the hundreds who have donated to the Vanguard over the years.

  1. Hell NO, given your posting today of misc. employee’s names and personal e-mail addresses. I now regret the contribution I made a couple of months ago.

  2. David, Would love to set up a recurring donation via Paypal, but I can’t figure out how to do it….Am I missing something obvious? (Can only send you a one-time donation.) Thanks for all you do!
