Elizabeth Cantwell is the Director for Economic Development at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. As Director, Elizabeth is focused on accelerating innovation in the National Labs and enhancing national economic competitiveness as a result. She is passionate about the art of technology translation. The city of Davis is in the midst of a process to develop an innovation/research park. The Davis Vanguard is a non-profit, and it focuses much of its news efforts on fiscal sustainability for Davis, with an increasing emphasis on economic development and utilizing UC Davis as an engine for economic growth, tech spinoffs, and attraction of tech companies and as a means to generate new tax revenue. Elizabeth Cantwell will share her experience to discuss Open Campus, Tech Transfer, and UC Davis Collaboration as Davis moves forward with economic development.
