Religious Stockholm Syndrome
Religious Trauma Syndrome (RSS) is characterized as a distinct behavioral pattern emerging in response to religious abuse. This syndrome manifests through an individual’s identification with the abuser, active defense of the abuser, criticism of dissenting perspectives, minimization of personal trauma, and romanticization of suffering, collectively functioning as a survival mechanism within a state of perceived captivity.
