She plans to attend law school and deepen her understanding of the U.S. legal system in order to continue advocating for a meaningful immigration reform, expanded access to arts education, and a stronger public education systems through state or national government. In addition to her academic interests, Jimena is a filmmaker specializing in screenwriting and believes that art and academia together are essential for student success.
