Judge Danette C. Brown denied the defense’s request to release the accused on supervised services and substance treatment, setting bail at $60,000 for the domestic violence case and $10,000 for the DUI case.

A Yolo County Superior Court judge ordered a man to be held in custody with bail set at $110,000 due to numerous pending criminal cases, including theft and DUI charges, posing an ongoing risk to public safety.

During a preliminary hearing in San Francisco Superior Court, cross-examination of two SFPD officers revealed testimony that contradicted the police report, as the officers stated that the accused requested a strip search, which is uncommon and not mentioned in the report, while the report stated that the officers suggested the strip search on their own suspicion.

The Yolo County Superior Court hearing was delayed due to the inability to secure a Malayalam interpreter, raising concerns about the accused’s ability to proceed fairly in the case that has been ongoing for nearly six years.
